The Toyota Celsior was designed to be a full size world-class luxury sedan. Upon its historic launch in 1989, it won the "Car of the Year Japan" award. This is the car that established Toyota, Lexus, as a major player in the worldwide luxury car market.
It was equipped with the highly advanced 4.0 Liter 1UZ-FE V8 engine, generating 256 HP (260PS). This was linked to a newly developed, electronically controlled, intelligent 4 speed A341E automatic transmission. The Celsior is LOADED with advanced technology and luxury amenities. The Japanese Domestic Market models were available in three different trim levels. The basic "A", upgraded suspension "B", and air suspension "Type C". This particular 1991 Toyota Celsior Type C is in excellent condition with only 29k certified original miles. As you can see from the detailed photos and walk around video, it looks like a new car! The paint shines beautifully with a mirror reflection. The luxurious leather interior is in exceptional shape and very clean, uncommon for a vehicle that is over 25 years old. Obviously this car was very well taken care of by the previous Japanese owner. The car performs wonderfully. The engine starts right up, transmission shifts are extremely smooth, and the suspension provides a comfort ride. The cabin is very quiet, even at highway speeds. We have equipped the vehicle with four quality, USA made, brand new all season tires for the next owner's peace of mind. The factory sound system is extraordinary and ahead of its time. We have clocked over 210kms while enjoying the car so far. It has proven itself to be very reliable. It would make an excellent daily driver, luxury family car, or VIP build.
